Q HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS CONCEPT?

The plot was entirely thought out by us, the moderators. But we did not think up the concept of not choosing a character. We 'borrowed' this idea from vorgasm @ livejournal. Also, all-babynames gave us the ideas for some of the names on the character list.

Q DO YOU PICK THE CHARACTER? AND IF SO HOW DO I GO ABOUT HAVING YOU PICK ONE FOR ME?

To answer the first question, yes. You need to post a comment here and we'll choose a character at random for you. If you've already played the character we pick out for you, just reply and we'll choose another.

Q CAN'T I JUST PICK OUT MY OWN CHARACTER?

The goal of this game is to improve your writing skill with a character you've never played before, and this is the reason why the moderators will pick one for you. To try out something new and different. So, unfortunately, you won't be able to pick out someone yourself.

Q I DON'T LIKE PLAYING GUYS, I'M NOT GOOD AT PLAYING GIRLS, I WOULD MUCH PREFER A FEMALE/MALE, IS THAT OKAY?

The concept of this game is to develop a character you've never played before which is why we choose who you play and you don't. It's difficult for us to give you exceptions just because you find it difficult. We won't judge you for the way you play a character as we're all in the same boat. Unfortunately, you telling us that you want a female will not get you a female. It can be unfair for the other players in the game if we do this for you. It's a 50/50 chance each way.

Q I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A GRYFFINDOR BECAUSE I ALWAYS PLAY SLYTHERINS AND I WANT TO TRY SOMETHING NEW, IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Unless you can show us that you always play Gryffindors/another house, we will not do this. Please read the answer to the above question.

Q IS IT OKAY IF MY CHARACTER IS GAY?

The sexuality of your character is your choice and we're fine with what you choose. But of course, keep some boundaries in mind as not all people are comfortable with it. Also, keep in mind who you character is.

Q ARE YOU AWARE THAT THERE ARE MORE RPGS OUT THERE WITH YOUR IDEA?

Technically it's not our idea so everyone can use it. We have seen quite a few around, and we recommend you to join those as well. Even though the idea isn't new, it's still a refreshing concept.

Q WHAT'S YOUR STAND ON CANON (PAIRINGS) SUCH AS HARRY/GINNY?

Even though we adore JKR, and most of the rpgs encourage to take everything from canon, we DISCOURAGE it. This is a character development game, if you take everything from the books there isn't really much development. So if you're playing Ginny and have always wanted her to shack up with Neville, we say 'why not?'.
